Olympics!

We learned all about the history of the Olympics in our Family Groups. The fifth grade learned all about Germany, and followed Germany throughout the entire winter games. We were so happy when Germany earned the second most medals at the Olympics!

The Book of Kells

One of our Academy parents is very interested in the Book of Kells. He gave a slide-show presentation to all of the classes explaining the history and artwork. He gave the students a copy of one page for them to re-create on a larger scale. We can’t wait to see how it turns out!

Cabrillo Monument Field Trip 2018

Every year the fifth graders learn all about explorers, including Spanish explorer Juan Cabrillo. We enjoyed a wonderful field trip to Cabrillo National Monument in La Jolla. Our park ranger gave a very informative tour, and then we watched a movie before hiking up to the Point Loma Light House.
